Dilly Darla

Baby girl has finally put on a growth spurt and although she's still just a tiny thing she is growing. She runs/walks all over the place and loves to follow Daddy around. She's also a big fan of Uncle Heath and likes to tease him by putting her finger in her mouth as soon as she sees him.She also loves to play this game with Ksenya who made this same wrinkle-nosed face when she was a baby. Ksenya will wrinkle up her nose at the baby and then they both laugh and Darla pulls the face back. Occasionally she'll play with someone else, but Ksenya is by far the best at getting her to do it.
Another favorite game right now is banging on the pots and pans while Mommy is making dinner. She loves to pull them out of the cupboard and then she'll come over and yell at me until I find her a spoon. I particularly love the scary hair phase that she's in right now. Occasionally I can get pigtails to stay in but inevitably she looks like this by the end of the day.
She thinks she is so big and loves to climb out of her high chair if we forget to buckle her in. She's also getting picky about food and loves to point at just what she wants and throw the rest on the floor for Max.
She is such a happy baby. I took this picture when I laid her down for a nap. She loves to play peek-a-boo with me and I love how her eyes sparkle when she thinks she's being clever. What a sweet girl. So excited for her to have a little sister to pal around with. She loves babies - even the ones that are younger and bigger than her.
Every time I think about how we were "done" after Brigham I'm thankful that Heavenly Father knew better. What would we do without our little Dilly Darla? She is such a joy for our whole family. Last night during family night she realized that each of the kids were taking turns standing in a certain spot (doing their assignments). As soon as she figured that out we couldn't get her to move from that spot, she loved being the center of attention and we all just sat around laughing at how cute she knew she was. We love our mini-girl.

LOVE LOVE LOVE HER! It must be the wild hair....or the teeth that shock me everyday....or the teasing she dishes out....or the cuddles that she gives....I guess it could be a number of things!
