A dear friend offered to show us how to find the observation deck at the DFW airport so we could have a picnic while we watched the planes land.
Turns out it was a very very hot day, but still fun for a picnic and really cool to watch the planes come in so close and hear the air traffic controller from the tower.
Kabe liked "flying" around and racing with the planes.
Ayvri dressed herself in 2 sizes too small clothes but still enjoyed the outing - even after she got a blister and abandoned her shoes.

This is an adventure that I surely must try. We have been having that horrible fire out in New Harmony, and there are loads of water planes taking off and landing and the kids think it is great. And little Ayvri learning the hardship of being a girl. Picking out the shoes that you must wear whether they fit you or not. :)
