It's Daddy's Day

Father's Day isn't the same without a little Daddy tribute so here goes. . .

This is my Daddy. He was just what every little girl needs, he was funny, thought I was perfect, called me his little darlin' and spoiled me rotten. Every scrape was major surgery and every woe was his call to arms. He always made me feel wonderful and special and even though I don't feel like I know him well, I know he loves me.
When I was 17 I was given another Dad. I didn't want him, didn't understand him and didn't really appreciate him for several years and now I can't express how thankful I am that the Lord knew all that I didn't. He has been a rock in my life, especially the last few years and has great advice and a gift for giving it in an inoffensive way. Thanks for hangin' in there while I figured out how much I need you!

Tyler's Dad was my bishop during much of our courtship and I'll admit I was absolutely terrified of him! It didn't take long as part of his family to realize that he is a big teddy bear with an endless sense of humor! He's fantastic with our children and extremely respectful to us.

Finally, Tyler gets sick of me constantly bragging on him on this site . . . so I thought I'd give a healthy dose of reality. This is the Daddy of our house and I wouldn't trade him for anything on earth! I love you Tyler . . . thanks for being an amazing Daddy!!!

Thank you, Toni, for this beautiful post. I love the progression from your dad to Dennis to Tyler's dad and then to your husband. I hope that after four children and many more years of marriage I can still be so in love with Travis (or more so, as it seems to be with you two).

Love your purple guts :)

(By the way, tell Ksenya that I'm jealous of her perfect brown skin.)
