Angelic Boy

Rarely do I use the phrase "angelic boy" in reference to my eldest son. Don't get me wrong - he's got an angel side, it's just the charming little devil that we see the most.

Not tonight.

Tonight at bedtime he said, "Mommy please leave the light on! I need to read my scriptures and I can't read in the dark!"

I thought that was the most clever ploy I'd ever heard so I agreed. Kabe falls asleep REALLY fast at bedtime, so about 2.5 minutes after I shut his door I opened it again, partly to see if he was asleep and partly to take the block away from Brigham that he was using to pound a hole into the wall with.

Kabe was asleep - clutching in a bear hug his little Book of Mormon.

Angelic boy!

AHHHH! What an excellent experience! I must confess if it were one of my kids I also would have thought that they really came up with a good one to get what they wanted at bedtime. :) Sure do love that boy!
