My little Girl Scout

OK - time for another proud mommy moment. Ksenya has learned to tie her shoes! I know, it's amazing! We have this little "Tie a Bow" book that I have been letting her take to church and last week during sacrament meeting she figured it out. She's quite a perfectionist and is very methodical about it (meaning don't ask her to do it if we're late for school and mommy's turning into atilla the hun), but she's very capable and I'm so pleased! I think it also helped that the laces on these tennis shoes are very long!

As a side note, she also thinks she can comb her own hair now, so if you see her looking a bit unkempt - just know it's her independence making a statement and she really is loved and really isn't an orphan!

What a little smarty! And can you blame her for being a perfectionist? Oh, and I'm glad I'm not the only one that turns in to Atilla. :)

Sabrina just learned to tie her shoes too. Isn't it funny that when they decide they want to do something there is no stopping them.

What a sweetie! I still can't get over the fact that our girls are getting to be so big! Next thing we know, they'll be getting married! WHOA! hehe

I have had to comb out quite a few snarls from Cheyenne "doing" and brushing her own hair- good luck with that one. She is such an amazing kiddo- fun to watch and very independent. She will take the world by storm.

Great Job Girlie keep it up!!! :D I love it how all of a sudden they can decide they are so independant.

I NEED that book! My little guy could so use it. He doesn't even like to buy shoes with ties because he doesn't want to learn..
