Kabe Goes to the Temple

Kabe finally got to attend the temple for Baptisms for the Dead!  Lucky Mom actually got to come with and watch Daddy perform the ordinance for both of the big kids.  What a beautiful night together in such a beautiful place.
Sure do love these two and the great choices that they are making in their lives.  It's nice to see them so very happy and enjoying each other more all the time.

Ksenya's Temple Day

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the 12th birthday is a big deal.  It means that not only do you graduate from the Primary organization and enter the ranks of "Youth" but you also are old enough to get a temple recommend and enter the House of the Lord to do Baptisms for the Dead.  What a beautiful ordinance.
Ksenya decided long before her birthday that she wanted to go to the temple for her birthday adventure.  She prepared for months, meeting with the bishop and doing a lot of study.  I was so impressed with the way she approached that experience with prayer and fasting.
It was a beautiful day - simple and peaceful and lovely.

Grandma and Grandpa Cox were able to come with us and took us out for ice cream afterward.  We missed the other Grand's who are still serving their trek mission.  Her Daddy and I wanted her to have something to help her remember this special day so we gave her a beautiful white ceramic replica of the St. George Temple and wrote her name and the date on the bottom.  What a blessing to be in the sacred place with these people I love so much.

Payson Temple

Daddy took our family up to Payson to go to the temple open house.  It was so beautiful and really big!  It was a good experience for the kids to see the inside of this incredible place.  It was funny to watch their reactions to different things.  The little ones especially liked the little booties they gave us and wouldn't take them off when we came inside.  Lots of stairs for this out of shape mama though.
