July 2017

July was another full month - full of adventure, full of blessings, full of things I don't want to forget!

This little monkey has been getting into a little more trouble lately.  He is too cute to be mad at and gets away with everything from everyone.  How thankful we are for this little lucky guy.
Silliness abounds and the kids are always finding new and creative ways to make me laugh.
Occasionally the little Bear gets cuddly and tired and get a blissful moment and just holding him and being grateful that I still have a baby.  He likes to come and sit on my lap while I'm working and sometimes he pretends that he is typing too (using my notebook as his own computer).

Ground has been broken for our new house!  This is so exciting and I can't wait to live under our mountain!
It's great to be having this adventure with my best friend!
We took a trip with Tyler's parents to Ninilchik with our dear friends the Herbert's who let us stay in their cabin and took the boys out on their boat to do some deep sea fishing.  I was lucky enough to catch a King Salmon (the only King we caught all weekend).  We learned a lot of things this week and it was a wild memory (we were fishing at around 11:00 pm).

We stopped in Homer and enjoyed a chilly walk down the beach.

There is so much LIFE that doesn't exactly look like life here!  This is a huge "rock" that is really made of living things.

The guys (Tyler, his Dad, and Kabe) went out on the boat and caught some amazing Halibut.  Processing these fish was a great science lesson as they have razor sharp teeth all the way down their throats.  We got to see what was in their stomachs and it was so fascinating!
Some seasickness was experienced (especially by Kabe)

I love making memories with these little wonders.

Another great memory made this month was having these cute girls come and stay with us for a bit.  It was fun to take them on a shopping adventure to find some church clothes.  They are sweethearts and I'm thankful that we had this rare chance as we don't see them as often as we would like.

Ksenya had some great youth adventures this month - and has a sweet friend Sydney who is adventuring along side her.  I'm thankful that the church provides great friends for my kids.

We visited the Transportation museum with Papa and Grandma Horse.  The kids were surprised at how big the planes were and loved climbing all over the trains.  Papa had some great stories and it was a good chance for the kids to run and climb and be monkeys.

We also visited the Iditarod museum and guess what?  They had puppies!  This was a highlight for all the kids, but especially Noah who really didn't want to let go of this little guy.

We took them to the conservation center to see the animals and it was a lot warmer this time.  It always looks cold in pictures but the shorts are a good indicator that it had warmed up a lot for this month's visit.

We were so thankful to have Grandma and Papa come visit!
