June 2017 - a BIG decision!!!

This month we got to have our activity days and cub day camp with Ayvri and Brigham.  It was so fun to be a part of planning this for these incredible kids.  We have a fantastic ward (The Matanuska Ward) and our Bishop Ramirez is amazing.  He spoke with power in a way that the kids could relate as he spoke about painting his kitchen and pedaling his bike.

Tyler's front desk project is completed and it looks so cool!  We built a stream down the middle of the countertop with pebbles and resin and it is beautiful!  Next step - get rid of the ugly pink walls.
We can't visit Daddy's office to help without getting a quick adjustment too.

Ksenya completed her trek and had an amazing experience.  We were all so excited to have her come home (Mom may have cried).

Can't believe this girly is 14 years old! She is such a joy and makes our family a heavenly place.  She is a phenomenal big sister and the best buddy to me and her Daddy's little sweetheart.  We call her the little Mama because she is such a nurturing person and tries to take care of all of us.

We took an adventure to the Gold Cord Lake Trail and the old abandoned mine.  It was a super foggy day which made it a little creepy.

We went to play on the Knik River bridge.

Tyler took a deep sea fishing excursion with some of the guys from work and his brother Justin - this was the first fish Justin caught and it was a little underwhelming, but it was a cool experience and they did catch something bigger!

Ayvri had to have a tooth removed and they did oral surgery.  Her surgeon was very handsome and had an exotic accent (she was giggly and nervous and said some pretty funny things as she was coming out of anesthesia).  Thankfully all went well and now all the rest of her teeth have room to grow.
Another hike up the Butte - one of our new favorite places (see more later)

The girls had an adventure getting fancy and modeling for the camera.  This one was too cute! (There were SO MANY photos!)

We got to take a fun adventure in a side-by-side with our friends the Wiltbanks. They are such fun neighbors and the kids loved this outing.

Another favorite neighbor, the Saunders are an awesome older couple.  He races little derby cars and we got to sit in his car and then later go and watch one of his races.

These sweet buddies just keep growing and own our culdesac (as in, they run wild constantly).

This month we've made a big decision to build a new house out in The Butte.  When we first visited this spot we knew it was special and it didn't take long to decide that this is where we wanted to make our home.  Every time we get a little nervous about this we just drive out and sit in the field under "our mountain" and the peace returns.  We couldn't be more excited for this next phase of our lives!

I think this is the most beautiful place I've ever seen in my life!

The mountain (Pioneer Peak) sits like a protector and it feels so huge and incredible.  The fields below are green and full of wildflowers and wildlife.

Right now it's fireweed and dandelions which the kids love and there's so much room to run, clean crisp air to breathe and deep quiet.

Hip hip hooray for our next home on earth.
