First Day of School 2016

For the longest time I've been thinking about homeschool.  Finally I decided to pray about it and had an undeniable confirmation that it's what is right for our family right now.  Thank heavens in Alaska homeschool is completely acceptable and there's even funding to support it.  We were able to stock our schoolroom and get all our curriculum and are having a BLAST homeschooling all of us at the kitchen table.  Here are a few of the things we are studying:  Russian, Spanish, Guitar, Banjo, Violin, Piano, Swimming, History of the world (starting with ancient Egypt), Zoology (starting with swimming creatures), math, language, economics, art, keyboarding, writing, literature and computers.

It's such a blessing to have the extra family time and to get to be able to incorporate our faith into our learning.  Some of the kids weren't too excited when we talked to them but after a full month they are all on board - this is awesome.
