Food Fights

I decided it was finally time to start feeding Leisl.  She was 10+ months and showing an interest in what we were eating.  I tried the avocados first - all the other kids just loved those.  Leisl did a projectile vomit and was very constipated and fussy.  Ok, no avocados.  Then we tried butternut squash.  Thinking that she is a little low on fats I added raw coconut oil to it.  Down it went and then back out it came - projectile vomit.
After that I was a little leery of feeding her.  Nursing has been great so why rock the boat?  Finally I started adding things very carefully one at a time and she's been doing much better.  She still cannot handle fats well at all - particularly the coconut oil, but also fatty foods like avocados.  She loves veggies but she doesn't like to be spoon fed at ALL and prefers to feed herself.  Now that she has been eating for a couple months she's decided it's her favorite hobby.  She can put away food at an amazing rate and her favorite things are cooked carrots and bananas.
