Dude . . .

This is a story of a Mommy.
A very pregnant Mommy.
A very pregnant Mommy who went to Cal-Ranch.
A very pregnant Mommy who went to Cal-Ranch and met a baby duck.
A very pregnant Mommy who went to Cal-Ranch and met a baby duck and looked into his eyes.
A very pregnant Mommy who went to Cal-Ranch and met a baby duck and looked into his eyes and fell in love.
The little duck's eyes said, "I feel your pain."
and . . . "I'm sorry you're STILL pregnant" (the Mommy was due)
and . . . "take me home and take care of me"

The Mommy named the duck Dude.  Then the Mommy took Dude home. Dude grew and drank an amazing amount of water.  The Daddy indulged until one day, the chickies (who came home in a similar way at the pleading of the children) went to live with Uncle Heath.

Dude was alone.
Dude looked sad.
Daddy told Mommy Dude would die if he were left alone.
Mommy considered bringing Dude inside and teaching him to be a little boy.
Mommy realized she already has two boys and can't handle another.

Dude went to live with Uncle Heath.

Now Mommy visits Uncle Heath's chicken coop and talks to Dude.
She tells him, "You is kind, you is smart, you is important."
Dude is a quirky manifestation of excessive hormones.

And Mommy Loves Him.
