To the Summit

Tyler and I are funny creatures that have an uncontrollable need to "get away" to nature every so often. We've always been this way and that driving force has brought us some grand adventures. It took us on a beautiful scenic drive to Justin Texas, it drove us across the Idaho plains for hours searching for a way to get on the mountains (ah the memories) and most recently, it drove us up Cedar Mountain to the head of the C trail. It has been quite a while since we've gone up there and the fall colors were beautiful. We let the kids wander around and pick as many leaves as they wanted to bring home and "decorate" our house with. I particularly enjoyed watching incredible huge puffy clouds fly overhead on the bright blue sky - it was breathtaking.
They had a great time and keep asking when we can go "to the mountains" again. We're definitely passing on the nature-holic genes.
Last weekend we were blessed to get to drive up to Duck Creek through Brianhead to enjoy a little kid-free excursion. It was so beautiful and we hit Cedar Breaks at sunset. There was snow on the ground and lots of color down in the valleys and I was completely smitten. I think we live in the most beautiful place on earth.
