We Live Yet . . .

Just in case any of you are worried that we died somewhere between Emmett & Cedar . . . I'm here to assure you we live yet. Maybe a bit worse for wear, but definitely alive. We're even unpacked (mostly), and sunburned (doesn't take long), and have already started working on finding the perfect location for our new clinic. The kids are sleeping in beds instead of sleeping bags and wandering between Aunt's houses and roaming free with cousins. It's good to be home, though there may always be tugging at my heartstrings for my other homes (is that normal?)

I have lots of pictures and stories and crazy funny silly things to share, but . . . . . pause for dramatic effect . . . . I'm going to bed so you'll just have to wait. Thanks for all the prayers that have gotten us to where we are. Keep 'em comin'.

Glad to know you made it safe and I think Sound would be a good word here because I've traveled with kids before and there was a lot of Sound!

Kade mentioned you were moving back to Cedar. I'm glad you made it safely. Good luck with all the upcoming career developments. We're so excited to "reunite" with cousins (and meet a few new ones) next month...NEXT MONTH? Wow!

Okay, so that last comment was by April instead of Kade. I didn't realize he had hijacked my computer--a rare occasion:)

Oh, and while I'm making multiple comments on one blog post, let me just say I'm LOVING the photo of all those cuties in the header. Brigham's smile reminds me so much of Joshua's, even though Joshua is an identical twin to my baby brother.

Loved your description of tugging on heartstrings for other homes. Unfortunately I think that is normal, which makes me sad because the more we move the more people we meet who we will just miss when we move again. But I love knowing that this life is the place to help eeach other the best we can, make as many lasting friendships as we can, and hopefully in another time--another place--we can be all in the same place at once.

It is a strange sensation to be homesick for many homes at the same time, but I've come to the conclusion that family is the most prominent "home" that tugs at the heartstrings; hopefully after time the other homes will still be there in memory but not in sharp "miss-you" pangs.

So glad you're safe in Cedar. Rest up! Love you all.
