The Great Wall of Petersen

For family home evening last week we focused on something taught in Stake Conference - how we need to build a "wall" around our family to protect us from Satan's attacks (including his attacks that come through the TV, computer, books, etc). After the lesson our activity was building together. We made sure that there were no holes or weak places in our wall. It was a fun lesson and fun activity. I also have to mention my new favorite part of Family Home Evening. One of the assignments is to testify so each week one of us takes a turn to bear our testimony. This way the kids get practice bearing testimony in front of other people and it's nice to hear what they have to say as they learn what a testimony really is.

That's a really good idea. We were the biggest family in our little branch in Leavenworth and our kids would all want to bear their testimonies every month. We finally had to divide it up (half one month, half the next) so we weren't inundating the pulpit with Petersens. but I think having them have an opportunity at home would satisfy that need. I like it!
Love you
