Farm Days

On Saturday we got to go to a local farm that was having a free event - the kids even got to ride a pony and a hay wagon and meet a blacksmith and pick cotton and it was quite the adventure without Daddy (he was at clinic camp). It was also a really cold day (cold in Texas is like 60 degrees) and all the kids were quite happy to march back the van and home again for lunch to get warm. Then we ventured out again to the library where the Critter man was teaching us about the animals from Harry Potter. I think Kabe really liked the burmese python a little too much and I was creeped out when we got to touch it (having never touched a snake before). I was fascinated by the legless lizard though and Ksenya liked seeing the barn owl (only she informed me that it wasn't really hedwig because hedwig was much bigger and all white). It was an adventurous day.
