Fairy Tales

For home school a few weeks ago we studied fairy tales. We read so many great stories, studied "Peter and the Wolf" which is one of my favorite pieces of music and even made gingerbread men and then pretended to chase them out the door. It was a fun unit! Kabe loved Peter and the Wolf, Ksenya's favorite was Thumbelina, Ayvri is all about the three little pigs and Mommy loved seeing her kids getting more excited about reading . . . Ksenya even made it through a few of the books by herself and is getting to be quite the emergent reader! We also had fun acting out the "Frog Prince" for Daddy, building 7 dwarfs and watching a few great fairy tales (like Shrek).

HIP HIP HOORAY for reading! The best way to have an adventure handy at your fingertips.

That does sound like an incredibly fun unit. Way to go for being so creative and thorough!
