If I were to go blind I would miss the following:
The faces of my family . . . . particularly Tyler and the kids (here I go tearing up again). I love expressions.
Reading. I know there's braille but seriously I'm not a patient person and to not be able to easily pick up a book and fly through the pages would be so frustrating.
Hobbies. Yep, I think I'd lose most of my hobbies if I couldn't see. Scrapbooking, sewing, even coloring with the kids, photography and playing the piano (I'm a music reader and without the music in front of me I can't play much) would all be practically impossible for me without vision.
Independence. How does one mother without sight? I know it can be done . . . just don't know if I could do it.
Rather than continue down this depressing train of thought I'll just put this out there. Today (wow, it's Thursday now), I will not take for granted my sight. I'll be thankful that I can see the "Yes Stepmother" look on Ksenya's face or Kabe as he screams at Ayvri or the puddle my dog left on the floor. I'll be thankful that I can see the music on the page, the words in my book, the dishes in the sink and the laundry on my floor.
Now, back to bed.
Sweet Dreams.

Ha I had a dream in the hospital that I was single. Can't remember the details, but I was awakened by the nurse to feed Paisley and I just couldn't do it for a few good min. I had to bring myself back to reality before I could continue with my "real" life.
Thank You. Thanks for sharing and making me be thankful for MY sight today. :)
That is really really crappy! I hate those kind of dreams. Hope that your sightful day today is great!
I love that you could be thankful for your sight after that dream! What a great example you are to me. I'll be more aware and thankful now too. I love your gutz!
I've been meaning to add this little update, but I'm too lazy to scroll down to look for the right post. You can tell Kabryn our new favorite joke is the eyeball-rooty-tooty bum-bum one. Maryn has a good laugh, and tries to tell it herself. Even the older ones enjoyed it:)
