Power of the Sabbath

Today I'm particularly thankful for the Sabbath, a day to rest from all our cares and re-focus our attentions on what really matters. Today I was taught an important lesson about the atonement and the blessing and meaning of adversity.

". . . If the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou . . . that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good. The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he? Therefore, hold on thy way . . . fear not what man can do, for God shall be with you forever and ever."

God will be with us forever and ever wherever we are, no matter what. A very comforting thought to know that God will be with us always, that we can't go anywhere that isn't where God has already been, that we can never be away from God's presence. Even in the deepest adversity, God is there. Thanks for the thought, Toni. Here's to focusing on what really matters on the Sabbath and on all other days too!
Love you Ty and Ton!
