See this pretty girl? Doesn't she look like she's been dealt a rough hand? This couldn't be the little girl who gave me a detailed account last night at bedtime of how everyone (particularly me) is always mean to her and how "it's just not fair" (don't ask me what "it" is) and how she just wishes she could move. Oh well, this morning life is sunshine and roses and pancakes for breakfast and she loves me again.

When I get the "it's not fair", I simply tell them we'll make it fair by changing all their names to Reagan, keeping them all home from school and putting them all back in diapers. That would be fair to all three, right?
I get the "I just want you", and it's usually at bedtime, or when she's asked to do something she doesn't want to. And so many things to look forward to as they get older. I've never seen her be anything but an angel. She is welcome here anytime, but she may come running home after a few hours.
OK she is really beautiful! And I am glad that things are roses again, I hate it when they aren't.
Welcome to the emotion-filled world of raising daughters! One minute they love you and everything else in their life, the next it's just not fair! That's one of Emelie's favorite exclamations:o)
