Weird Children

The other night we needed an adventure - but are so completely boring that we ended up at Kroger doing grocery shopping and let the kids pick out any treat they wanted. Seriously - I'd have bought them candy bars, ice cream, you name it. What did my darling daring little wonders want? Doughnuts. No kidding - I guess it's a novelty because we never ever no never have them. Kabe picked a custard filled one, Ksenya a weird looking pumpkin thing that she ended up not really liking and Ayvri picked the bumpy one. (see I don't even know what they're called). Mommy picked ice cream because they didn't have any alligator jaws (the only kind of doughnut worth eating) and Daddy decided to forego his treat since he was just getting over the puking fits. I don't know if it will rank among their favorite memories, but I laughed watching them deliberate this big important choice!!!

hahaha. I know that used to be the treat of choice for me when I was little. I think it has something to do with the way they look in the big locked up glass case (locked up because we were never, ever allowed in there or to look at them for too long). I think they were right on. Course, I have not been able to stomach doughnuts since I got food poisoning and the last thing I had eaten were the doughnut holes for your wedding.
