Texas State Fair

We decided to take a last-minute trip to the State Fair. When we arrived it was raining, and rained pretty much all day. We knew we were crazy to be there with, not just 4 kids, but a 2 week old baby in the rain, but it turned out to be a fun day for everyone. We got to see the petting zoo (Kabe saw a Giraffe and was totally stoked!), the trains, and of course . . . BIG TEX (for whom Brigham was nicknamed at the hospital). We even bought a deep fried Cheesecake and a Texas Corn dog (all part of the experience or so I heard) and they were pretty yummy once I got past the idea) I dreamed all night about the Vitamix (I HAVE to get one of those!!!) and my favorite part of the whole day? All the looks we got from people as they counted the kids. So funny! We even got a comment from one of the presenters about easing up on the Margarita's . . . I wanted to tell him that no, all of our children were conceived completely sober :)

You guys are amazing! I can't believe that you are out and about after just having a baby. Anyway I need to get a hold of you, We are only 4 hours from Dallas, and I can't remember where you live. We don't know were the next job will be but if we can come down that way and stop by on our way to the job we would love to. Does that make sense? Call me if you can 208-360-5387. I hope to hear from you soon!

Toni, I completely feel for ya! I get that whole "what were you thinking having so many kids?" look all the time. What's even more fun is watching people do the math in their heads when I tell them that I have a 12 year old daughter!! :)

My sister Corrie is actually purchasing a vitamix...sigh. She has spent hours at the booth for years, it's about time. I asked her if I can come make all my baby food at her house now. She is very generous, we are going to have baby food parties. I can't believe how good you look!! What happened to your tummy? It just vanished into thin air!
