Brigham's First Week

Brigham is now 10 days old. He is a beautiful baby and very good. He's an aggressive eater and I'm sure he's already gained at least a pound. I love to hold him, to watch his expressions, to rub his little hairy head and kiss his neck.

Daddy thinks he's pretty wonderful too, although he has to get in line to hold him since I won't let the kids hold him when he's asleep. These two are pretty cute cuddling together.

Brigham liked his first bath - he was perfectly content until he started to get a little chilly. Notice the little scratch on his head? The inevitable happened - no, not Ayvri, Sam jumped over his carseat and caught him with one of his paws. At least baby's heal quickly.

Obviously he's not lacking for attention. This is usually the scene when he's awake. Ksenya is wonderful about holding him and he seems to really love her affections. Kabe can only handle it for a few minutes and Ayvri just wants to point to his nose over and over (at least she hasn't poked him in the eye yet). She's actually very gentle with him too, but doesn't show a whole lot of interest unless I'm feeding him!

Here are my darling boys. Kabe loves having his brother sleeping in his room and takes charge of him wherever we go. He's always the first one to come and tell me if Brigham is awake or if he thinks I should be doing something for the baby, "Mom - Brigham wants to play", or "Mom, Brigham wants a snack".

He is simply adorable, and it's so cute how all the kids gather together around him. Too fun! You have such a wonderful family!

What a beautiful baby and what beautiful older siblings he has! I love Kabryn's little smile while holding baby Brigham. Thanks for sharing!

I've said it before, but I can't help it: You are an incredible mom. You find joy in every second, and once again I want to be like you "when I grow up." Thank you for keeping your blog updated even after the chaos of having a new baby and three other children who need your attention. We love you so much.

Ahhh contentment. I just think it looks so natural to see your little family adoring their new member, it must be the greatest feeling in the world. You really do have a beautiful group!
