Ksenya is getting to be such a big girl. She always keeps us on her toes with tricky questions. The other day she asked me why tattoos are bad and makeup isn't. "You wouldn't paint with makeup on the temple either mom!" What do you say? She has been loving our latest chapter book, "The Secret Garden" and I confess, we read a few chapters even after Kabe falls asleep. She's always very attentive. She also really loves to play the board game, "Guess Who" and usually beats me. She's always very wiggly and still falls off her chair during dinner, the little fidget. She likes to "read" to her brother and sister and this video shows her doing a little storytime for them. Her stories are so interesting. Someone almost always dies, or in this case is "exceedingly a bad person" so I guess she understands that there's conflict in every good story (that or she's a little morbid). Her latest quirk is needing "alone" time. She'll lock the rest of us out of her room to play alone. I guess it's normal, but she seems so little to need privacy like that? She's very helpful and getting so excited for Kindergarten. What will I do without her all day? The Petersen Herd

I think I will cry when it is time for marisa to go to school. I dont know what it is!! She has become quite the little lady.
It still amazes me that our girls are getting to be so smart! I just can't get over the fact that they are 5!!!
I love that picture of her. She is truly and beautiful girl!
(ha, and she has fallen out of the chair at my house a time or two)
