Happy Friday!

I rarely post my daily events unless there's something remarkable, but today was remarkably unremarkable and still surprisingly post-worthy.
I actually stayed up when Tyler left for school and washed the dishes, started the laundry, made my bed and took a shower (WOW! The shower thing is a real accomplishment these days). Then the kids got up and I made a totally gross smoothie with carrots in it (don't know what I was thinking). We all decided we couldn't swallow it except Ayvri who downed hers, Ksenya's and Kabe's. The rest of us resorted to having left-over carrot cake (at least there was a vegetable in it right?).
Then we got Ksenya ready for dance. She looked absolutely beautiful and I'm sure it will have it's own post soon. We dropped her off and Kabe and I scoured the craft stores looking for something to inspire an incredible birthday cake for the little ballerina (she'll be 5 on Tuesday HOLY COW). Didn't find anything inspiring, but donchajusluv craft stores?
Then we picked her up and headed to the library for the magic show. We all enjoyed the magician but not as much as Kabe who belly-laughed through the whole thing. Home for lunch (applesauce) and then back into the van for a little drive to the "work box house".
Then we got home, put Ayvri . . . aka queen of tantrums in her bed and settled into a little laundry folding. After a series of "do you need to go potty?" "Nope" and then wet pants, we got it all folded and read a chapter of "Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle's Farm" which is the current chapter book (I'll post on our new-found love of chapter books later).
Now the kids are napping quietly, Tyler's on his way home (WOO HOO) and decided we should go out to dinner tonight in celebration of life in general. Sounds like a great idea to me. Every now and then we have to throw caution to the wind and appreciate the every-dayness of life. So - for today my happy karma is coming from a place that doesn't require anything fancy. Life is SIMPLY good. Reminds me of a song I just love "All I ever wanted, all I ever dreamed of, everything I hoped and all the things I prayed for couldn't hold a candle to what I've been given . . . I've been given what I need!"

Remarkable. I am so glad you posted, Toni Dee. You're a good reminder to me that I can't wait for life to be good--I have to make it good. This is probably the answer to my prayer (I've been having a series of bad attitude days), so I'll straighten up. It's okay that life is sressful, because it's LIFE and we ought to try and enjoy it JUST BECAUSE instead of waiting for some holiday. Profound. I love you.

Its always nice when we get a chance (and remember to) live in the moment! Thanks for pointing that out.
