Bathing Beauty

Ayvri is such a little Diva! She knows that she rules the roost around here and makes a point of reminding us often. She had her first day of Nursery yesterday - such a big girl. She was happy to go and when I left all she did was go over to the door, bang on it a couple of times . . . then she yelled "Mama!!!" and without a tear or a pout went about playing. She's very nosy and thinks everything is her business and is constantly walking up to complete strangers and staring at them. She makes no facial expression - just complete and total eye contact while they try to get some sort of reaction from her. Then, when she's had enough she turns around and walks away. She's learned that screaming really upsets Mommy and likes to scream full-tilt in the grocery store when she isn't getting what she wants. This gets a lot of "don't you know about birth control" looks from other shoppers, but I'm sure if they saw her smile they'd know why I just can't quit having babies. That smile makes the sun rise I think. She finally got her very own bath the other day (a rare occurrence) and I got a few pictures of her playing fish. She really loves the water and I can't wait to see how she does at the pool! Her favorite (and only) words now are "BAAH" (bye), "DAAH" (dad), "BAA" (sam), "NOnununu" (no) and the ever favorite "Mama" (doesn't always mean mom, usually it just means "I need something") We're so thankful we have her and the unique role she plays in our family.
