My girls got up this morning hungry, and Kabe slept in. I decided it would be a perfect time to wash last nights neglected dishes and Ksenya decided she could do breakfast on her own. I turned around in time to see this. Yes, they're sharing a chair, yes they're sharing a bagel (Ksenya can't remember what they're called so this morning it was a "bun"), but NO they are not sharing spoons. See, Ksenya is pretty picky about sharing silverware (although I did see her lick off Ayvri's spoon more than once), they each had their own spoon. The conversation during breakfast went a lot like this:Ayvri: "MAMA!!!" (loud, I can't do it justice on the computer)
Ksenya: "Do you need more yogurt?"
Ayvri: "Da!" (she thinks she's Russian)
---during this brief moment of silence, Ksenya gives Ayvri some yogurt and tries to sneak a bite herself---
Ayvri: "MAMA!!!"
Ksenya: "Do you need more bun?"
Ayvri: "Da!"
You get the idea - poor Ksenya didn't get a whole lot to eat, but I don't think she missed it, they had a good time together and she enjoyed being the nurturing big sister. I'm so glad they have each other and that they love each other! (maybe someday they'll enjoy conversations, but for now, Ayvri's limited vocabulary makes it a little difficult). Although, I think Ksenya understands her better than anyone. It's a girl thing :)
