The leaves are falling down. Everywhere. They have been a beautiful rainbow for the last several weeks but now they are a blanket of gold on the ground. Thought you might like to see a little more of our new home. (This is the front lawn and those cars you see parked in the distance? That's the church). It's gotten chilly now and we got some wood so we can use the furnace a little less. It's so nice to have a fire going - just love the smells and the sounds and the look of a fire in the fireplace! And I love that my husband is the fire man and doesn't get mad with me when I let it go out.
This is the driveway - keeps us back from the highway and is a nice green pasture to stare at out the window. Reminds me of the Robert Frost poem, the road less traveled.
And here is a view of the whole town from freezeout hill. It looks a lot bigger from up there than it seems when you're in it, but it's a lovely valley and when it's clear (this wasn't a great day for all the burning), the mountains that surround us are soft hues of yellow and blue.
