We decided to have "gross" dinner again this year - it's been a while, but the same old menu still worked wonders (with a few disgusting additions). I didn't get pictures of everything before we started but it made quite the icky spread. Ksenya made all the labels for everything and it was funny listening to her say "vomit"
Flesh worms (made with barbecue chicken wrapped in bacon, but prosciutto would work better)
Bloody fingers (little smokies in pumpkin bbq sauce and sliced almond fingernails)
Wands dipped in troll bogies (pretzel rods in green dip, made slimier with partially melted cheese, spinach and artichoke hearts)
Scabs with Vomit sauce (blue corn chips with chunky salsa)
Boils (grape tomatoes filled with cream cheese)
Cockroaches (whole pitted dates with a pecan inside for crunch)
Cemetary Cups (pudding cups with oreo dirt, gummy worms, Milano
cookies for headstones)
Bones (rhodes rolls formed into the shape of bones . . . .super easy)
Monster Blood with Fly Ice (green lemonade and a raisin frozen into each cube)
Here are the cockroaches, looked quite believable and were very yummy and easy.
This is the one that got Tyler, and sorry the picture isn't rotated. We called it "Diarrhea" and it's just applesauce with raisins and granola in it. Just lumpy and soupy enough to make him not want to eat it.
