Only this time - it's 2nd grade! After much deliberation about our present condition, Tyler and I decided that it's back to public school we go. Especially since we're in major transition and I'm in no fit condition to be home-schooling right now (and all my supplies and sanity are in storage) we think it's best for them to have some normalcy and routine. So - here goes Ksenya's first day of school. I was a mess (of course) and remain a mess into the second week. She was excited and very concerned about her appearance and after a little push through the door from Dad (I knew I couldn't keep it together so I sent him in to walk her to her room), she did just great and even met a few new friends the first two days. One of the things that I just hate about school is how tired and cranky my sweet girl comes home. Still, I'm hoping that we adjust soon. She is sweet and I think happy and will be even happier when Kabe starts Kindergarten next week.
Brace yourself world - this girl has got it going on!!! I laugh at how she has to coordinate every tiny detail of her appearance. She asked me, "Mom does this look silly?" and when I say, "No" she says, "Would you tell me if it did?" What a grown-up girl! Brace yourself world, this Mommy is going to be even more of a mess next week when the little man heads off into the world!!!
