Hoppy Easter!

For Easter this year we decided to only have one egg hunt as opposed to the dozens we usually attend. We had a baseball game so after the game the closest park we could find just happened to be a cemetery. I was cool with that - lots of places to hide eggs at ground level and no other kids to get in the way of our hunt. Turned out to be ideal, quiet and a lot of fun.
Ready, set, GO! Brigham found the first one and sat there eating until I made him get up to hunt some more. We had an abundance of candy - but learned that Jordan Almonds are pretty but taste nasty.
My handsome boy with such beautifully tinted eggs. Kabe was all about the different colors this year and really liked watching them "cook" and deciding when they were done.
Ksenya, of course, needed crayons and stickers and other embellishments to feel like she'd accomplished any real decorating. She was fascinated with the plastic heat sleeves too.
Brigham just liked eating the boiled eggs that were accidentally broken. He's also learning how to "cheese" for the camera.
Ayvri had to monitor all of the dye cups. She thought the counter looked so pretty after she was grumpy when I scrubbed all the splashes off.

I was so thankful to have Easter and Conference together this year and we started a new fun tradition of studying the last week in the Savior's life the week before Easter. It made it all more meaningful and I think reinforced the purpose of the holiday.
