Then we started kite flying which turned out to be the best we've ever had. The wind was perfect and after a few tries we got the kite in the air and took turns flying it. Again - they all approached it differently. Kabe was all about planting his feet and trying not to lift off, tugging furiously when it looked like it was coming down.
Ayvri took a much more relaxed approach and just sat down (this was probably safer since I think it could have carried her off). Don't mind the wild hair, she wanted to leave it down that day and after the wind got her she looked like half lion.
Ksenya liked to see if she could make the kite turn but became distressed when it nose-dived and soon decided she preferred to be the one to send it up in the air when it came down.
Brigham was oblivious to the kite, preferring instead to dump a bag of chips on the ground and then eat the remnants (and a little grass) while watching the rest of us play.
In all it was a glorious day of sunshine and fresh air and I was thankful to watch all my honeys and enjoy a few minutes laying on my back in the grass watching the kite fly too.

I am totally jealous of your weather! Looks like fun!
What a happy "kite flying" day. I'm so glad to took advantage of the warm day together. You will never be sorry for days like that. I only wish I had been with you. I love and miss you all. Kiss the kidos for me.
Love, Aunt Lala
What a most excellent day!
Oh, fun! We've found frisbee and baseball are more compatible with our group park activities because of the boy/girl thing:)
