Ksenya had a field trip today to see a play - the "Rockin' Mother Goose". I wish I had more to share with you but this is the only picture I got. NO - I didn't get to go with her! There was only room for 4 mothers and so they drew our names out of a hat. I personally think that they should have given precedence to the Mom's who volunteer in the classroom, but that wasn't the case. Yes - I'm bitter about it! REALLY BITTER! Why do we give such blind trust to these people we hardly know just because they're employed by our government. Sorry - I don't trust our government that much and if you've been watching the frightening changes being made in the public school setting all over the country then you are as worried as we are. My gut told me not to send her - but the darling had been given so much hype that she was desperate to go so go she did. I was a bit of a nervous wreck all day and she came home just fine. Still, the whole thing made me thankful that in a few short months she'll be out of the propaganda factory that we call a school. Sorry for venting . . . I just need a field trip :)

I hate that feeling. You know the one where you keep telling yourself that your kids are safe, and fine, but your heart is screaming other things. Then come to find out they are fine, and yet your heart doesn't let up. (I think it means you are a good mommy, see I knew it was in there somewhere....refer back to the post about "racing" your daughter home) :)
