Ha ha, ho ho, hee hee hee! Sorry - I have to chuckle at people who can't use proper grammar and punctuation. Still, if I were browsing the blogs of strangers at 3:11 a.m. I probably wouldn't be able to say anything productive either.
Perhaps it is time to take my own little world of self-righteous advice to a private realm . . . what do you think? Should Toni go private???

Stupid people. Seriously, I think some lame people out there have nothing better to do with their time than to critisize others to make themselves feel better. As far as private goes, totally a personal choice. If you do don't forget to let me in :D
No I think the random and even rude comments are kinda funny! I would probably be pretty angry though. Since Im preggo I take things way to seriously. I just don't like private blogs cause you can't see when they have been updated. But I guess its totally your choice. Just be sure to add me
I don't know you either (although our husbands know each other), but I really enjoy reading your blog from time to time. I think you have a fun sense of humor and had a lot of great money saving ideas! That comment was rude and unnecessary. That person should have kept their mouth shut. Keep up the blogging. And if you do go private we hope you will add us.
that's just so annoying! i've had two other friends in the past week or so who have recieved rude anonymous comments. they obvioulsy have nothing better to do, huh?!
i am private and i like it because i know who my readers are, but i also know that people probably don't check it as often because they don't know it has been updated. good luck!
What a rude comment.. why people get a kick out of leaving comments on blogs they don't even know the owner is beyond me. I got an anonymous comment once that said, "sorry I don't know you but who names their son Cooper, what a horrible name". I was like um did you carry this baby or did I? yep that was me so I can name him whatever I want!!! After that I considered going private but I ruled it out because it is just so much harder for those that want to see my blog to get into it!
I say, go for it and leave out idiots like this. But be sure to invite me. :)

I keep threatening to go private and then it seems like too much work (I know I am lazy). Anyway it sounds like the person who left the comments has problems that have nothing to do with you, poor thing! If you do go private be sure to include me on your list, I love you blog even if I don't comment all the time.
ugh, some people! just ignore those random idiots...cuz they ARE out there :--) in all my years online I've seen my fair share, no worries, just hit delete :-) in fact, you can change your comments to not include "anonymous" and wahlah, no more unwanted commentary from those who want to remain "unknown". :0) if you decide to go private, let me know, I would hate to miss out...I don't always comment but love the good read :--) We are SUPER busy now! Singing lessons, piano lessons, guitar lessons, soccer and next Justin and I both start softball...yeek so I usually try to read but commenting is something I want to do but don't always give the time for it. Hugs, I enjoy your blog, keep it up and ignore the crazies.
how rude! i went private and i didnt even get weird comments like that.. i just couldnt stand the thought of crazy ppl checking out what my kid does all day. private is nice but ppl dont check as often... but i think its worth it

I looked into freecycle.org and there are over 500 people in it here in Cedar. I am going to join and see what happens. Remember one man's junk is another man's treasure. That is completely true. We all get tired of things and I usually just throw them away or take them to DI. This is a better way, I think.

Awww. Don't do it! Just be amused by people who don't have anything better to do than leave useless comments on strangers blogs in the wee hours of the morning.
Besides, you don't know me so if you go private I won't get to read your blog anymore! (I knew your husband when we were kids and now I love reading about you and your children!)
Do whatever you want. Unfortunately weird people are all around us, and common sense is NOT that common. I don't understand why some people say the things they do, and think it's ok.
Look at all the people that read your blog. You are famous!! So my kids have started using the word "poop" and it really annoys me, so with that said....Your little mystery commenter is a "poo-poo head" Ok I know that was really childish, but that is who I hang with. :) I love you and love your advice on bargain shopping....refer to previous post about feeding the beast. fs

There is a way that you can make it so that your blog is not 'surfable' meaning that it doesn't show up in google or you can't find it by just using the "next blog" button the the blogger site. Its somewhere in the setup. I think that it narrows down your commments. I still have had one or two, but least I know that my blog is FAIRLY private without being private.
Yeah, go private! I hate it when Anonymous people post on blogs.
I have a hard time with private blogs and love getting random people who comment on my blog all be it I have yet to receive some sort of nasty comment. I think that you can set your blog to not allow anonymous comments. Maybe that should be the way to go!
I think Anonymous seems to have a problem. Don't people have better things to do with their time then continually read strangers blogs? That's so wierd to me. I barely have time to read my friends blogs, let alone random people's. I don't have an opinion on the whole private thing (then again I haven't gotten anon. comments) but if you do decide to, don't forget to add me!!!
Hi Toni--I loved your ideas about the carpet remnants and I think we'll borrow it because we need a rug but don't want to fork out the big bucks on one either. You're a thrifty momma, so don't let other's opinions phase you because your family is better off from all of your creative ideas and tricks. (Kabe's bald head is so cute by the way--I didn't catch the post about why he was bald and had to go back and find it!)
Anonymousness can definitely bring out the worst in people--but if you go private all those 'anonymous blog surfers' who could use a little thrifty advice wouldn't get it! Although the comment was rude, I bet the poster will remember your good advice, because there was probably a reason why it bugged them so much--it must have struck a nerve! Nice way to look at it, eh?
I saw that post on Sarah's blog about Cooper--that was mean and it didn't even make any sense--it made me mad to see someone make fun of baby Cooper's name!
Your 'bloggin' presence makes a difference, so don't hide it--I love all your posts and getting to see your kiddos grow up!

I worry about people who scope out my family...and I agree with you that at least they can make their naughty comments in correct grammar. However, I think all of you should make your blogs private, but be absolutely certain I am invited. I LOVE your blog. Great job, and I am amazed at the ideas. Ok... where do I start.... you just have an "anonymous" follower with some definite insecurities!!! Holy Cow... that was rude and uncalled for. I actually got a pretty weird comment on mine and decided to go private but go back and forth with wanting to not be daily. I was just down in Cleveland this weekend telling my parents how I loved reading your blog. You always have great ideas and I, too love your sense of humor!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!
