Ksenya . . . November 2008

You are very strong-willed and somewhat polar in your independence. In some situations you want to be left alone to do things your way and without any assistance but at other times, usually in more public situations you insist on holding hands and hiding in the shadow of Mom, Dad or even Kabe. You are a great big sister and love to teach your siblings new things. Lately you've taken an interest in helping Ayvri speak and you're making good progress. You are very nurturing with Brigham and are the organizer of play - always assigning parts to the other kids, you're usually the teacher, the mommy or your latest role "Manager". You have started reading independently and it's so exciting to watch your progress. You are a perfectionist and get easily frustrated, but when you decide you CAN do it you always succeed. You are very social at school but you're still a home-body and would rather be here than anywhere, which is fine with me! I remember our first year together when you were my baby and how you went everywhere with me. You've grown so much and get more beautiful every day but I still love it when we have time together just the two of us painting our nails or shopping. You ask the most penetrating questions and are very forgiving when I slip up. I love you!
