When we moved into our new house there wasn't room for Tyler's Graduation present - a gigantic TV that we bought 3 years ago. In our space saving heaven we measured and measured and measured again and there is just absolutely. no. room.
So we have been a TV-free family for more than a month now. For the most part it has been great, the kids aren't watching crap, not watching as often, reading and playing more together and it has been a good choice I think. Still, there are those days (and nights) when we just really want to sit down and turn our brains off, to be together, but not be doing anything. For those days, we are sure thankful to have a laptop that we can sit on a chair and enjoy the tiny screen. Daddy is obviously less than impressed with the set-up and we are both hopeful that there is a larger screen in our future (one that will mount on the wall where there is some room left). Still, for now, these are fun memories I don't want to forget.
