Kabe is such a good brother. He loves to hold the baby and is so tender with her. We are really hard on this little guy but moments like this remind me that he's still little and oh so good. He has started developing "grown up taste buds" (a ploy we are using to get him to eat). I never thought I'd get a picky eater but the other night he wouldn't touch his dinner so I told him that people who don't eat have to go to the hospital to have an IV where they pump fluids into you so that you don't die. He got a really scared look on his face and marched in and ate 2 eggplant fajitas (which I thought were uber-yummy). It has picked up his eating quite nicely. Call me mean, but at least the boy is eating. He's also getting to be a really good reader. He has great decoding skills and marvelous literary intuition. Today he wrote his Daddy a note that said, "Dad I hope you are almost done with the clinic". The boy is craving a little more attention than the last few hectic weeks have afforded. Sure do love this sweet kid!

What a great big brother! I might have to try your "Mommy eating tactics" with Trace.
