Kabe has really come into his own this last summer as a big boy. He loves when he can go to work with Dad or when I give him "outside" jobs. His motto is "Little guys can do big things too", and he does. I'm amazed at what he can accomplish when he decides to.
He's a smart kid too. We were really struggling remembering our reading skills after our summer break. Then Daddy had an inspired idea. Now when we have our scripture study, instead of just listening, we all get our scriptures out and take turns reading the verses. I'm amazed at how much they understand and remember now (whereas before they weren't really listening, just being quiet). Kabe's reading has improved dramatically and he's becoming more confident too. He loves when his verse is a long one and tries so hard on the long words.
He's a tender heart and loves to hold the baby and loves to be sung to. He is a terribly picky eater and that's our biggest struggle right now.

My thought while looking at these photos, after thinking how good looking Kabe is, is "How on earth did she get him to be serious?" When I was with you guys at the BBQ in Cedar, he would only give me silly faces ;)
